NEW! Montessori Kindergarten
Montessori Leaps & Bounds at Early Steps Learning Center We are thrilled to announce that we are extending our Montessori Program offering to include Kindergarten! Smiles and Treats
Our preschoolers went to visit a local nursing home, The Waterford, prior to our “Harvest Party” to Trick or Treat. The residents were thrilled to see the children and many even dressed up for the occasion!
New! Saturday Child Care
Have you heard the news about our new program? Parents, do you need child care on Saturdays while you work, run errands, go to an appointment, or just to have some time for yourself? Early Steps Learning Center is happy to offer a Saturday ‘Drop In’ Child Care Program. Your child does not have to be enrolled in our Center to participate. Just call ahead to reserve your child’s spot for a Saturday, for any amount of time from 4-10 hours. Learn
Storytime from Mayfield Heights Librarians
We have teamed up with our friends at the Mayfield Heights Library to bring a special “Storytime” program to our Center! Starting today and continuing on selected Fridays throughout the year, a librarian friend will share Storytime with us from 9:45-10:15am. We are excited to offer our children another opportunity to encourage their love of reading. A big ‘thank you’ to our local librarians for sharing the time and talents!
Meet & Greet Open House
Parents and Families are invited to our Meet & Greet Open House on Thursday, September 20th from 7-8 p.m. This is a great way for parents and caregivers to talk with our staff and see what is going on your children’s classrooms. Many of the kids are excited to show you all that they have been busy working on with their teachers and classmates. Come admire your children’s artwork, enjoy cheese and crackers, and spend some time in the classroom
Tips for helping new Preschoolers

This Week…Bugs
This Week at Early Steps Learning Center, we are learning about BUGS! Through books, art projects and observing nature, our kids are enjoying Bug Week. Our Infants & Toddlers favorite book about bugs is called Zug the Bug by Colin & Jacqui Hawkins. Our Preschoolers went on a nature walk and found all kinds of insects along the way. Back to School Bash
We wanted a special way to mark the end of summer and get excited for the new school year….so we decided to plan a huge carnival-themed BASH! First, the whole Early Steps Learning Center community joined together to raise the money we needed for our bash. Fundraisers included a bake sale and several promotion days with local business. We had three pizza fundraisers with Little Caesar’s and one of our neighbors, Tony’s Pizza. Add that money to what was raised
