Development with Childhood Conference
Our fantastic Early Steps Learning Center managers and lead teachers attended the 2015 Ohio AEYC Early Childhood Conference and enjoyed exceptional professional development sessions and making connections with other professionals in April. This 1 minutes video is a fun recap of the conference!
The Earth is in Good Hands
Each of the classrooms at ESLC Richmond Road created a mural in honor of Earth Day today. And at the end of the day, parents had the honor of voting for their favorite mural! The classroom with the winning mural will receive a Pizza Party! Which one is your favorite?
Summer Camp 2015 Registration is Open
Our countdown has started – only 6 more weeks until summer break! Early Steps Learning Center has planned another fun-filled summer at our Centers and we would love for your child to join us! We had such a great time planning this year’s theme – Making Memories to Last a Lifetime. Celebrating Our Favorite Authors
During the month of March, all classrooms are excitedly exploring the theme “Favorite Children’s Authors.” These authors include: Eric Carle, Bill Martin, Jr., Dr. Seuss, Mercer Mayer and Denise Flemming. The Kindergarten Enrichment class had a lot of fun during the Eric Carle week making a “spider web” after reading The Very Busy Spider. Who knows what we’ll spin up in the weeks to come!!
Community Helpers Week
In our preschool programs we recently explored the occupations of different “Community Helpers.” During this week we had a visit from a local dentist office as well as one of our grandparents who is a postal worker. The children enjoyed learning about these two helpers, and enjoyed the goodies they were able to take home! A big thank you to all of our local Community Helpers who work so hard to make our community a wonderful place to live.
Valentines Day Dance Party
Our School-Age Program from Richmond Road Location joined us at our Chardon Road Location on Valentine’s Day for one fantastic Valentines Day Dance Party! The children (and staff!) enjoyed the Free Dance, Dance Contest, and of course, our Valentines Day Feast! Thank you Richmond Road School-Agers for joining us!

Food Drive for Super 8 Boxes
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank packs special food boxes every day for families who have young children in the home. The Food Boxes are referred to as Super 8 Boxes. The items listed below are what they consider to be Super 8 foods, which are high in protein and good carbohydrates. 1 in 5 children in the USA goes hungry each day.
