Early Steps Learning Center is offering 2 exciting day camps for the Summer of 2020: Camp Explorer and Summer Quest!

Our team has put much thought, energy and enthusiasm into planning an amazing summer for our Campers.  You’ll find the highlights below.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to us with questions at 216-381-4600.

ESLC Themes Rotation For Summer Camp

Week one introduction week (June 1st-June 5th)

  • Weeks 2 &3: (June 7th -June 18thNature– Camping week, hiking, physical activities, nature safety, scavenger hunt, etc. Biking safety and history of biking. Lake Farm park to explore nature and farm life
  • Week 4&5: (June 21st-July 2ndMusic-Tik-Tok, the study of various music genres, song-making (Google Chrome Lab) Students will be able to show their talents through music rather it be dancing, singing, etc. A talent show scheduled for the last day of music week.
  • Weeks: 6-7 (July 5th-July 16thFoodology-Study of food and nutrition, how to make certain recipes, Math= teaching children how to properly measure ingredients. Trip to Young Chefs Academy
  • Weeks 8-9: (July 19th– July 30thOlympics– Olympic competition, the study of and the history of the Olympics, various fun outside activities. These weeks will be our most active with a lot of outside activities and competitions for the students to participate in. Water games, sack races, relay races, obstacle courses, etc. Live Streaming of Olympic competition. OMG Game Truck to allow students to compete on virtual games and arcades
  • Week 10: (August 2nd-6thSTEM/ Space– Black holes, the study of our Solar System, Astronaut training, Creating a Solar System Model. Trip to Great Lakes Science Museum

Camp Explorer

Exploring the world around us through science and the arts!  Led by our incredible staff, our Pre-K Campers take on art, STEM and outdoor activities tailored to their level, as they learn lasting 21st century skills.  Camp Explorer curriculum is project based which requires team building, inquiry and fun!

Dates: June 1 to August 7 2020

Hours: 9am-4pm, with extended care available

(6:30am – 6:30pm at Chardon Rd and Drenik Dr.)

Ages:  4-5 years, Pre-Kindergarten.

Fun Activities:  hands-on arts, crafts, science experiments, indoor and outdoor games, field trips and more.

Cost: Tuition is $170 per week for full time.  Field trip and activity fees are additional.   Registration fee is $50 for new students and $30 for ESLC students.

Curriculum:  Creative Curriculum, which we use all year at ESLC!

Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch and Snack are provided

Summer Quest

Diving deep into science, technology, engineering, math, the arts and subjects that inspire.

 

Dates: June 1 to August 7 2020

Hours: 9am-4pm, with extended care available

(6:30am – 6:30pm at Drenik Dr; 6:30am – 6:00pm at Richmond Rd.)

Ages:  5-12 years old, K – 7th graders

Activities: Campers explore majors in the fields of Technology, Science, Technology, Engineering, Culinary* Performing Arts, and weekly field trips.

Cost: Tuition is $160 per week including activities for full time.  Registration fee is $50.

Curriculum:  Cincy After School, which we use all year at ESLC!

Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch and Snack are provided

*Note: Foodology is designed to accommodate campers with food allergies. There are no nuts of any kind in our recipes and all classrooms are nut-free. While dairy and wheat will be present in the classroom, all recipes include dairy-free and gluten-free versions, if applicable. Some ingredients we use may have been processed in facilities that also process nuts and/or wheat products.
