Last month we had a few exciting events, like the Family Feast before Thanksgiving. Check out these pictures we got of our happy turkeys!

Christmas Day: CLOSED
New Years Eve: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
New Years Day: CLOSED
But before we take our holiday breaks, we will be celebrating a year of good times at ESLC with games and treats! This Friday, December 20th we will be having an end of the year celebration. Students and parents are welcome to attend and bring treats for their class. Please only bring store-bought food with a list of ingredients to accommodate any students with food allergies.
With all of the holiday excitement going on in December, there is plenty of inspiration for activities and crafts. No matter what you are celebrating this season, everyone can appreciate a hand made gift or some good, old-fashioned quality time.
One way to introduce your kids to the generosity of the holiday season is by stressing the satisfaction of giving rather than receiving. Having your child pick out and wrap a gift to give someone anonymously could start a life long family tradition of selfless giving. If you don’t have the means to spontaneously purchase gifts, making cookies or candy to give away works just as well.
Making things yourself is often a fun and frugal alternative to the classic Christmas shopping chaos. Instead of taking your kiddos to Target, maybe swing by the craft store and pick up some patterned fleece for this no-sew scarf craft! Even if you don’t celebrate any of the winter holidays, making something warm to donate to a local shelter is a great way to show children the heart-warming feeling of giving.
