Congratulations to our Pre-K Class! Today 28 children celebrated their Preschool Graduation at a wonderful ceremony attended by their families. The children did a touching sign language tribute to their parents. What a tremendous day! Thank you parents, caregivers and families for all of your love and support. Preschoolers, you will do fantastically in kindergarten next year. We can’t wait to hear about all the great things you will do! Please keep in touch and come back soon
We wanted a special way to mark the end of summer and get excited for the new school year….so we decided to plan a huge carnival-themed BASH! First, the whole Early Steps Learning Center community joined together to raise the money we needed for our bash. Fundraisers included a bake sale and several promotion days with local business. We had three pizza fundraisers with Little Caesar’s and one of our neighbors, Tony’s Pizza. Add that money to what was raised
Today is the last day of our Summer Camp program. We had a wonderful summer with our 30 campers! We thought we would take a few minutes to reminisce about our favorite activities and fun from this summer: Pool Time – New to our camp this year was swimming two times a week. Many campers even gained swimming skills during 4 weeks of lessons. Preschool Story Time – We had great visits from our local Mayfield Heights Librarian packed with stories, music and fun!
During the month of February the children learned about very important Community Helpers. Even more exciting than learning about them was getting to talk to them in person! We would like to thank the Richmond Heights Fire and Police Departments for making special visits to Early Steps Learning Center and for protecting us everyday! Richmond Heights Fire Department Visit February 22, 2012 The Firemen showed us their uniform and gear, talked about the importance of having a fire escape
Early Steps Learning Center was bustling with excitement today for our visit from Santa!! Even though he was very busy preparing for Christmas Eve, he took time to visit with each classroom. Many of our parents came too to catch a glimpse of Santa and snap a picture with their child and Santa. Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season!
Today we wrapped up our Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the Euclid Hunger Center. ESLC families chose a feather off of a turkey display located on the child’s classroom door. Each feather listed a food item that they could donate. Families brought in their non-perishable items between November 14-November 21, 2011. Early Steps Learning Center collected just over 100 canned and boxed goods that were donated to the Euclid Hunger Center for Thanksgiving. Thank you to our families for participating and
